How is everyone’s day going? Mines is going great. I woke up early enough to go for a quick half-mile walk, brush my hair, and put on clothes. I got to work early enough to eat my overnight oats (have you tried the peanut butter variety? NO? You should.) and check my email before having to open up shop, so that was nice.
But you know what? I have another headache. I LOVE when the weather turns cold, but these fronts bring with them such headache misery! Thank you, sinuses. LOL.
Anyhow I am currently sitting in the waiting room of the car dealership’s service department, waiting on an oil change. I was 800 miles over, but I guess that’s not such a big deal because the service writer just laughed when I told him. Do you ever go over your mileage like that? I have a bad habit of doing that, but apparently it’s safe to go 5-6k miles on a single oil change with new cars so thumbs-up to laziness!
PS – the service writer is friends with my roommate. It’s funny because as soon as we started talking I immediately thought of him – they are both service writers, they are both fancy, and they are both insane! LOL!
In other news, I’ve been pretty good about planning meals and prepping ahead (not perfect, but good). We also got out garage cleaned out yesterday so the new freezer is plugged in and ready to go! Yippee! I’ve already put a few lazy-night options in there for emergencies (i.e. not planning enough dinners).
I’ve been having a rough time meal planning with healthy options lately because I’m not creative like that AND it’s a ton of work so I decided to turn back to Tone It Up and use their 2017 challenge meal plan… I’m sure it’s way healthier than what Bryan likes but he’s being a pretty good sport so far. I like that it includes all of my meals PLUS snacks, AND a grocery list for everything I will need for the entire week. Sure, I change things up a bit and have to adjust the grocery list to accommodate two people but it’s so worth the few extra minutes.
I love being about to easily prep for, and cook, simple and delicious, yet SUPER healthy meals with minimal planning. There are other options out there for this exact same purpose, but I’ve never tried any other site because I just really like that I paid one time for what I use and it’s not an ongoing thing… And everything is truly healthy, not just “low-fat” or “low-carb”. My meals are minimally processed, with a ton of fresh fruits and veggies. YUM!
Okay, wow, so I really didn’t intend for this post to take the turn it did, but I guess I might as well post it under easy meals at this point. Because easy is not having to plan for a well-planned week. I can’t recommend Tone It Up membership enough in this respect! They have great recipes, multiple meal plans, and you can choose between regular, pescatarian, vegetarian, and vegan. Maybe there are more at this point… I don’t know.
But you should check it out because easy is good. Rambling is not. So I will stop rambling now 🙂
